Student Workshop

It is our pleasure to invite all bachelor, master, PhD and graduate students for Student Workshop organized with connection to the 2018 43rd International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz 2018). Student Workshop will take place on 9th September 2018 at the Nagoya Urban Institute.

The aim of the workshop is to give a comprehensive overview of several selected topics connected to infrared, millimeter and terahertz science and technology. During the workshop students will get familiar with such topics as 2D & Topological Materials and their Exotic THz Physics, THz communication, Condensed matter physics, THz detectors, THz metamaterial and THz quantum optics. The workshop speakers will be giving not only overview of current state of the art, but also their vision of future and the direction their research field is heading. Attending this workshop can be helpful in understanding and taking active part in scientific presentations during IRMMW-THz 2018.

You can sign for the workshop via the regular conference online registration process. An additional fee of 5000 JPY will be added to your invoice to cover workshop costs.
