Nagoya Congress Center

The venue of IRMMW-THz2018 is Nagoya Congress Center, located in the center of the city and easily reached by subway from many hotels. Access to NAGOYA

The Nagoya City is the Japan's 4th largest city with a 2.3 million population. The city locates around the the central part of Japan between Tokyo and Osaka/Kyoto. The city is easily accessible by the international and domestic flights through Central Japan (Chubu) International Airport, "Centrair", or the "Tokaido Shinkansen" bullet train.

International Flights

The Chubu Centrair International Airport (Airport Code: NGO) is located at 35 km south from the Nagoya city. There are 262 weekly direct flights from 28 overseas international airports. In addition, Centrair also has direct domestic flights from/to both Tokyo Haneda (HND) and Tokyo Narita (NRT) International Airports that cover almost all major international airlines.

Access from Centrair Airport to the Venue

The easiest way from Centrair Airport to the conference and hotel sites is to use Meitetsu Airport Line (http://www.meitetsu.co.jp/eng/airport-access/index.html). All Limited Express trains departing from the airport stop at Kanayama and Nagoya stations. The train fare to Kanayama is 810 JPY, and you may reserve a sheet of Limited Express trains (First Class Car Ticket: +360 JPY). It takes about 30-40 min to Kanayama and Nagoya.

You can also ride on Highway Buses (http://www.meitetsu-bus.co.jp/english/area/centrair.html) from the airport to the city center and Nagoya station. It takes more than 1 hour and costs 1,200 JPY. Taxi will cost ~ 13,000 JPY and it will take ~ 1 hour. Thus, we recommend to use Meitetsu Airport Line or Highway Buses to come to Nagoya.

The conference hotels are located near Kanayama (hotels (1)-(4)) and Nagoya stations (hotels (5)-(7)). One can also find many hotels around the Sakae station (downtown area).

The nearest subway stations to Nagoya Convention Center are Hibino and Nishi Takakura stations (See picture below). It will take 5 minutes by walk. Each station is one stop away from Kanayama station. You can get to Kanayama station from Nagoya Station on JR Line and from Sakae station on Subway Meijyo Line. Nagoya and Sakae stations are connected on Subway Higashiyama Line.
